When Gamma Brewing Company was founded in 2015, it was with a transparent vision to fill a hole in the Danish market for New England IPA. Drawing inspiration from the American beer scene and adopting an uncompromising approach to hop brewing, the four friends from Ølkollektivet in Gørløse quickly established themselves as some of the country’s absolute best in the field. Their success rests on a fundamental premise: technical execution and the quality of raw materials are always prioritized, no matter how much the company grows.
In their current microbrewery, they’ve brought everything under one roof – from the malt mill to their tasting room. This gives them full control over the entire value chain and the product’s journey. But that control requires that the transfer between each step of the process works flawlessly every single time. The requirements are particularly high during bottling, as even the smallest amounts of oxygen can ruin the hops’ fruity character and visual profile. By operating with critical limits below 50 PPB (parts per billion), there is absolutely no room for leaks in either hoses or couplings.

The equipment behind the perfect taste experience
Transporting the liquid media through the many phases of the brewing process places enormous demands on both the hoses’ flexibility and technical integrity. During bottling, it's crucial that the equipment is 100% leak-proof so that neither UV light nor oxygen penetrates and destroys the hops’ delicate character. The durable Beverage CLC/10 hoses are used intensively throughout the entire process, from the initial wort transport to the final CIP cleaning. By eliminating technical uncertainties, the brewmaster can focus fully on the creative craft.

Quality assurance through visual monitoring
Since the beer must be shielded from light in closed steel tanks, visual monitoring via sight glasses is a critical part of quality assurance. The sight glasses from Alfotech are strategically mounted in front of each tank so that brewers can see exactly when yeast or hops begin to settle. This makes it possible to stop the transfer at exactly the right moment, preventing unwanted particles or CO2 from reaching the bottling line. This combination of manual supervision and technical excellence ensures that only the perfect beer leaves the brewery.
Future-proof production in Herlev
With its professional microbrewery in Herlev, Gamma Brewing Company has established a foundation that can easily scale in line with its double-digit growth rates. Today, the company utilizes only about 20% of its capacity, but the system can be scaled up to an annual production of approximately 3 million liters of beer. The partnership with Alfotech supports this growth through flexible solutions, such as reusing fittings and simply installing new hose components. This ensures efficient operations where the customer is always at the center, and technical bottlenecks are minimized.

Gamma Brewing Company was founded in March 2015 by four friends with roots in Copenhagen’s bar scene and has since established itself as a prominent player on both the Danish and international craft beer scene.
Specializing in hoppy IPAs, the company currently operates a modern and scalable microbrewery in Herlev where high-quality raw materials and craftsmanship form the foundation. In addition to production, the company also runs its own bar and a restaurant in Copenhagen NV, which serves as a showcase for their full selection. The company currently employs 25 people.
