How we helped innovative customer with specially designed cooking vessel
A special assignment for the assembly workshop
Lego bricks. Millions of children around the world play with them, inspired by a wealth of creative ideas. Through play and learning, many in their childhoods develop an innovative mindset, which is further strengthened later in the adult life. This is precisely what characterizes the specialists at Alfotech's in-house assembly workshop, who regularly contribute to the development and assembly of customer-specific solutions. The latest special assignment was no exception. They took care of the customer's very own invention based on technical specifications and drawings.
The specially designed cooking vessel
The customer had developed a new cooking vessel for use in food production - and now the job was to get the solution assembled. Starting with a pair of distillation vessels that needed to be connected through welded pipework, Alfotech's blacksmith Martin got to work immediately. He was in constant dialogue with the customer to ensure everything went to plan, and after just a few days the solution was ready for pick-up.
But not everything was easy. Martin elaborates:
"One of the major challenges of this special assignment was the welding at the bottom of the top distillation vessel. This is where the cone needed to be coned out to fit the Clamp liner."
In addition to distillation vessels, the pipework also included ball valves to control the flow of media, T-pieces, Tri-Clamps, 90-degree bends and hose clamps. Around the connection between the distillation vessels, a transparent Plutone PU Press spiral hose was placed between the connection joints to withstand a vacuum.
