PA12 air hose now available in 130°C version
Air hoses - also known as pneumatic hoses - come with good mechanical properties against pressure and temperatures, while they are also typically very resistant to fatty foods, fuel and other organic solvents. They are often made of either polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PUR), polyamide (PA), or Teflon (PTFE).
At Alfotech, we have for a long time stocked the well-known PA12 air hose, which can go to a maximum of 80°C degrees in temperature during normal operation. However, based on several requests from our customers during autumn/winter last year, we now also have PA12 air hose for 130°C degrees operation in stock. This new version, which of course still lives up to both the ISO and DIN standards, is very suitable for more demanding compressed air installations with a higher operating temperature.

Recommended accessories for the PA12 air hose
But what is best suited as accessory for air hoses? Of course, it depends on what needs you have for your compressed air installation. Usually our customers buy push-in/push-on fittings either in POM or stainless standard.
Common to them all is that they are food grade, come in different designs and have a long endurance under the right conditions. However, they differ in terms of material - POM fittings are made of plastic (polyoxymethylene), whereas many push-in and push-on fittings are made of stainless steel (AISI 316). The latter, in contrast to the plastic versions, can withstand significantly higher pressures and temperatures.
Choosing the right accessory for PA12 hoses is crucial. In this way, you ensure that you get a reliable, high-quality solution that complies with industry standards. Of course, we are always ready to help you find the right solution based on your specific needs.
