PTFE SD is suitable for transporting aggressive chemicals. Used, for example, in the marine industry from ship to ship or on land for car transport.
PTFE SD is made up of several layers of thermoplastic material around Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. The hose is reinforced with AISI 316 L stainless steel spiral both inside and outside, as well as weather-resistant and durable outer cover made of polyvinyl. PTFE SD is resistant to UV, ozone, sunlight, and weather. The outer cover can also be delivered in Elastothane, a special PU coated material, which is extra resistant to UV, ozone, sunlight, weather and ensures superior temperature and wear properties.
PTFE SD can be delivered in a black antistatic version (Directive 94/9/EC “ATEX”). All versions of the hose can be fitted with a large selection of couplings, which are treated with the exclusive Eptaflon Blue coating, which is resistant to most types of chemicals.
The hose can be delivered in a Firetec version with ADR self-extinguishing cover.
The temperature ranges from -30°C to+80°C.
All pressures are stated at the temperature +20°C.
The hose complies with NAHAD guidelines, DNV-approved, EN ISO 8031:2009 - 4.7.
Safety factor: ≥ 5 times working pressure.
