Drip-free couplings in stainless steel – accurate and safe fluid handling
We offer Cejn drip-free fluid couplings in stainless steel for applications where fluid handling must be carried out with maximum safety and minimal risk of contamination. The dry-break construction ensures that no liquid is spilled and no air enters during connection and disconnection, which both protects product quality and reduces the need for cleaning. The couplings are easy to operate with one hand and optimised for integration into both new and existing systems. This type of coupling is particularly relevant in processes where the liquids are expensive, sensitive to oxygen or potentially hazardous if spilled – such as concentrated acids, glycol or pharmaceutical solutions.
The couplings are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and can withstand high temperatures and aggressive liquids. This makes them suitable for food production, pharmaceutical environments, chemical handling and industrial cooling circuits.
Reliable solutions with a focus on function and hygiene
Choose between coupling housing and coupling nipple

Cejn coupling housing
The coupling housing is the stationary part of the installation. It is designed with a safety lock that prevents accidental disconnection, and the drip-free function ensures that no liquid is spilled during disconnection. Operation is one-handed and suitable for both manual and automated systems.
The coupling housing is available in three sizes: 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ (series 577, 677 and 777). It can be supplied with free passage, single or double shut-off. Working pressure up to 20 bar and burst pressure of 80 bar. Temperature tolerance from –20 °C to +150 °C. Colour coding and seal selection available on request.
Cejn coupling nipple
The coupling nipple is the connecting part and can be freely combined with the coupling housing. It is available in the same sizes and configurations and has the same pressure and temperature tolerances. The nipple is available with or without a valve, depending on whether the flow needs to be stopped when disconnected.
The construction is precision machined and suitable for liquid cooling, CIP systems and chemical processes. Like the coupling housing, the socket can be supplied with colour codes and customised seals.
Part of a complete coupling range

We offer a wide range of couplings for both liquids and compressed air – including Cejn eSafe quick couplings. This allows you to gather all your needs in one place and get qualified technical advice on which solution best suits your requirements.
Whether you work in hygiene-sensitive environments or high-performance industrial processes, we can help you put together the right coupling solution based on media type, pressure, temperature and operational reliability.
Frequently asked questions

What are the advantages of drip-free couplings?
Drip-free couplings ensure that no liquid or air escapes during disconnection. This protects the product and reduces waste. At the same time, it contributes to a cleaner and safer working environment.
What sizes are the couplings available in?
The series is available in 1/2", 3/4‘ and 1’, and both coupling housings and female connectors can be customised with valves, colour coding and different seal types.
Can drip-free couplings be used in food production?
Yes. They are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and are suitable for environments with high hygiene requirements.
How do I choose between coupling housing and nipple?
The coupling housing is mounted stationary, while the nipple is the moving part. Both are available in the same material quality and configurations. The combination is typically chosen based on how the hoses and system parts are organised in the plant.
