Aseptic union gaskets: Hygienic sealing in food and pharmaceutical applications

Aseptic union gaskets are specially developed seal rings that ensure a completely tight and contamination-free connection between pipes and fittings in sterile process environments. They are indispensable in plants where high demands are placed on hygiene, cleaning and operational reliability – e.g. in the production of food, pharmaceuticals and other products with strict standards for sterility and documentation. Our EPDM gasket in form A, series A is designed with a pipe connection for DIN food pipes and is typically used in food companies in, for example, Germany and Eastern Europe, where this pipe standard is widespread. It meets all requirements for food contact and is a safe choice in production environments with frequent steam sterilisation and CIP cleaning. 

The EPDM union gasket in form A, series C has the same characteristics and is also ideal for environments with high requirements for cleaning and production safety. Like the series A type, it is made of black EPDM and is approved for food contact in accordance with both FDA/USP. Series C is designed for connection to DS/SMS dairy tubes and is used in particular in Scandinavian processing plants where this pipe standard is the norm – e.g. in Danish dairies, juice and brewery production.
