Wear-resistant cleaning and low-pressure hoses for the food industry

In modern production environments, cleaning is an essential part of daily operations. This is particularly true in the food, dairy and process industries, where strict hygiene standards apply and cleaning tasks must often be repeated multiple times. We offer cleaning hoses and low pressure hoses specifically designed to meet the demands of flexibility, wear resistance, and temperature tolerance in such environments.

The hoses are typically used for rinsing, foam cleaning, and light cleaning tasks involving hot water hoses or mild chemicals. Whether it's a single workstation or a fully integrated low-pressure system, it's critical that the hose performs reliably and withstands daily wear. Material selection, construction quality, and compatibility with cleaning agents all play a key role.

To give you a clear overview of the possibilities, we present three hose types with different properties and application areas: Foam Cleaner, ISAR WATER, and Thermoclean 100 Antimicrobial.

Materials and technical properties

cleaning and low-pressure hoses

he cleaning and low pressure hoses in our range meet various requirements in terms of temperature, pressure, and cleaning method. The Foam Cleaner hose is made of particularly flexible PVC with a durable blue outer layer. This makes it ideal for foam cleaning with hot water and chemicals. With temperature resistance up to 70 °C and strong resistance to both alkaline and acidic cleaners, the Foam Cleaner is a reliable choice for daily cleaning tasks in demanding food production settings.

Another variant is the ISAR Water. It features an inner layer of NBR rubber and an outer layer of NBR/PVC, designed for rinsing and flushing tasks with moderate demands on temperature and chemical resistance. ISAR Water is a robust water and cleaning hose, with NBR rubber on both the inside and outside. It is a food-grade hot water hose, resistant up to 20 bar, and a solid choice where low weight, flexibility, and durability are required.

For cleaning processes requiring more conventional cleaning agents, Thermoclean 100 is a reliable option. Constructed from five layers of PVC, it is resistant to higher temperatures. As a hot water hose, it is particularly suitable for applications that demand both hygiene and thermal resistance. It is food-approved and features an antimicrobial outer coating that prevents the growth of mold and mildew – even during frequent use in humid environments.

How the hoses perform in practice

Cleaning hoses and low pressure hoses are used in a wide range of industrial environments where cleaning is a critical part of the workflow. They can be used for manual cleaning tasks, where an operator uses the hose to rinse machines, tanks, or surfaces. They can also be part of permanent installations with central foam or water supply – for instance in hot water systems in food production, where hygiene is non-negotiable.

In the article Mission Cleanliness, we review the Foam Cleaner, Isar Water and Thermoclean 100 and show how each performs in different scenarios. This provides a solid basis for choosing the hose that best suits your needs.

Customisation, assembly and advice

For seamless integration into your production environment, we tailor hot water hoses and low pressure hoses to the exact length and coupling types you need. Whether you require threaded nipples, SMS, DIN, Tri-Clamp or Cejn couplings, we assemble them in our own workshop and deliver complete, pressure-tested hose units.

All our hose solutions come with labeling and documentation of material approvals, helping you meet both internal quality requirements and external standards, such as those related to food inspections or pharmaceutical audits.

If you need assistance choosing the right hose based on media type, temperature, working pressure, or cleaning routines, our technical team is ready to support you. We are committed to delivering solutions that precisely fit your situation – both practically and in terms of compliance.

Frequently asked questions

woman wondering

Can Isar Water be used for cleaning with cleaning agents?

Isar Water is suitable for clean water and light foam cleaning, but is not recommended for use with aggressive chemicals or high temperatures.

What is the advantage of antimicrobial hoses?

Hoses such as Thermoclean 100 Antimicrobial inhibit bacterial growth on the hose surface, contributing to higher hygiene standards in environments with constant moisture and heat.

Is there a difference between the inner and outer hose surfaces?

Yes. Some hoses have a smooth inner surface for easy cleaning, while others – such as Thermoclean 100 Antimicrobial – have a double jacket with an insulated outer surface.

Do you offer hoses with pre-assembled couplings?

Yes, we supply cleaning and low-pressure hoses with the type of coupling that suits your installation. Everything is assembled and pressure tested in our own workshop.

How do I choose the right hose for my system?

It depends on the cleaning agents and temperatures you work with and whether there are food approval requirements. Our advisors will help you find the solution that best suits your needs.
